Nas has to Pay 55k a month

WOW! Now that's crazy. Well, I heard of worse endings for other celebrities but this is bad. Nas and Kelis divorce is final. The judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis 55k a month. Some one once told me, it was a man's world. I don't know what happened to it, because women are winning. I really don't understand the judicial system. When a couple gets divorced, a party is awarded assets so they can continue the same life style. I wonder is there a time frame for alimony payments. This is why people with a lot of money need a prenupt, but countless people end up victims. At least Nas didn't suffer the same faith as Phil Collins. Phil has three divorces and forked up millions. And Phil is still looking. He is too hard headed in my oppinion, but that's his life and he has the money to trick. I guess rappers are right, it ain't tricking if you got it.

50 cent and Jay Z on 9/11

I think about a lot of things when it comes to this subject. Both rappers, in the past put out albums on 9/11 before. Jay Z put out the Blue Print on 9/11 on the same year the towers fell but that didn't stop his sells. In my oppinion, that's crazy to believe. I know he's is one of the best rappers alive but I can remember that day and what I was doing. I love music but I wasn't thinking about hova. 50 cent came out with his self title album Curtis in 2007. It was during that Kanye verses 50 campaign. That brings another important fact to light. I heard this is suppose to a competitive release date with 50 and Jay. At the end of the day, these are great artist who make hits, and I can't hate on success. On the other hand I didn't like the joker thing on 50 cents new video, Ok Your Right. Also, 50 cent sold more units then Jay on his album release week, so it will be an interesting race. Or are they really racing?

LoSo is Nice but is That Enough?

This man has been around for a while. A lot of people don't like to admit it but he's a vet in the game. He has even created a clothing line for the young and rich. The rap icon is Fabolous. I can vouch for his lyrical abilities but his Rich and Yung clothing line is far from a must have. If you want to check out his clothing line, check it out on http://www.richyungsociety.com. It looked like the a lack of research done when their executive team was putting the concept together and making it appealing to their target audience but I'll let you be the judge.

Thank god he is Fab is still gifted lyrically. I can remember when he first came out. He was a very consistant rapper. He was discovered by DJ Clue. He cought Clue's attention with the help from another rapper who spit his lyrics and Clue needed to know where did the lyrics come from. After Fab's journey with Dessert Storm he became an artist to be reckoned with.

He has blazed the mixtape game and has successful albums but why is he looked at as the underdog. Six to eight months back there was a HotNight 106 concert that I attend. The feature artist was Weezy and Fab was on the line up. I looked online on the hot106 website and saw that 80% wanted to see Weezy and around 8% wanted to see LoSo. I also attended a previous HotNight 106 concert five years ago and Fab was the feature artist. What happened to his career. Don't get me wrong, I know he's doing his thing but it ain't looking as good. If I'm wrong, please speak your mind.

I Like What I Saw

I was on YouTube earlier watching a video with Jadakiss talking about his summer basketball league. He said he created the league five years back to cool down some of the crime in that neighborhood. The video was posted on 50 cent page Thisis50.com. Jadakiss didn't fail to mention that he talks to 50 cent aka Curtis Jackson on a regular basis. Then I looked at another video and heard Jadakiss saying that he wouldn't mind making a song with 50 cent in the future, "if the deal is right for both parties." He also went on to say that there isn't any beef between him and 50 cent. He also said that 50 cent took shots(verbally assaulted) at him on the Massacre album but it was a great idea at the time. He understood the reason behind it. He felt like it was a way for 50 to get more attention and sell more albums.

When I first saw Jadakiss talking on a Thisis50 video I thought it was a joke. This can't be happening. 50 cent is always out to make someone look bad. Also, why would Jada want to be featured on 50's video clip. These two rappers made vicious verbal threats towards each other. But I don't know what happened but now these two individuals are in good terms with each other. At first I didn't like this because both rappers always claim how authentic their lyrics are and this didn't look like they were keeping it real. But at the end of the day I am a fan of them both. It's good that they came to a mutual agreement and squashed the feud. Hip Hop is growing up people.

Why Am I spending Time Writing a Blog About Hip Hop

I was asked this question. I didn't think that I would be asked this question so early in this process. I only wrote two articles. Each article only took me about ten minutes. One article took me longer because I wanted to double check the spelling of a biker gang and a few other things. But to be frank, I just started off writing blogs and plan on writing more blogs in the near future. I will have different contents because hip hop is not my only interest. I also plan on having a bigger audience because I want this to be a sharing experience. But I don't really want to drag this for too long. I'm doing this because I enjoy doing this and I hope you enjoy reading what I got to say. I also want to see your comments. Tell me what you think and I'll will keep it going with you.

Rap Culture: Whats real to me

First off, I would like to further express my love for hip hop. I will always listen to hip hop music as long as rap artist keep bringing creative and uplifting material. I know a couple of people who would disagree and object. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But this is my passion and opinions.

This article is here to show the difference between life and hip hop and people who confuse the two. Rap and Hip Hop are two music genre thats been heavily influenced by minorities, both foreign and native. Rap culture is a portal for those people to elaborate their thoughts and vision. At the end of the day when you listen, read and watch Rap/Hip Hop please keep in mind that it's only a source of entertainment. I am not trying to water down any Artist's message. I learn from everything I do, no matter how serious or vain it is. But when I read an article about rap beef, I can't help but laugh. This is what I call an unclear oxymoron. Real beef involves violence. Real beef is when one person wants to hurt another person. Bush has beef with terrorist. The KKK has beef with blacks and Jews. The 1 percenter bikers gang has beef with hells angels. There are people out there publicizing false truths that don't even make sense. A rap song is something written to tell a story or voice your opinion on a particular subject matter. I don't really know where rap beef really derived from. I'm guessing it came from the only people benefiting from it, the cooperation's that increase their revenues massively with the head lines.

This might sound odd to some people who might not truly understand hip hop and rap. If your scared of getting shot, killed or beat up then you share the same thoughts of a rap artist. No one wants to die especially while they are young. But there are mentally unbalanced individuals who are suicidal, and they are exceptions to that statement. Why do you think some artist have bullet proof cars and wear bullet proof vest. A lot of artist have extra security and a mandatory body guard. A lot of the violence you hear in rap music is a mixture of truth with lies. You have to admit that sex, money and drugs sells. Unfortunately, just like everything else in life, knowledge without proper direction leads to undesired results. This rule is especially true for hip hop and rap culture. But rap beef is fake when both parties involved are compensated and no actual occurrence of an assault happens.

The Affects of Hip Hop

How did Hip Hop affect me? I know it started in New York, but now it's all around the world. It's in music, fashion, movies, conversations, videos, excuses, courts (the legal room and outside playground), drama and our education. It's powerful. Some people are walking around with hip hop in their veins, and they can't get it out because it's a part of them. Can words with a rhythm and beat, do that to a person? I'll let you figure that one out. What I do know is that my life would be very boring without it. It entertains me. It motivates me. It's a loyal friend. I can never turn my back on a true friend. How did Hip Hop affect you?
